....I did start to wonder what the hell I was doing to myself.
Yes the nerves kicked in right at that time, you probably know the one, its the moment when you are finishing off your packing for the last time and you are actually leaving for the airport in an hour... Aloisia was around and together we enjoyed 4 days in London of that 'last night out with the gang', 'that last Pub dinner', that 'last visit to the Troubadour' and finally that 'last day in Europe for a year'!!
There I was - I was just about to fling myself half way across the globe in search of adventure and boy did I wonder ...I wondered right up until that last second when I turned, goodbyes having been said, and ran through customs because they had kept me back till the last minute as a potential volunteer opting (offered STG 420 to do it) out of flying because the airline was over booked. Post announcement of the British Airways looming strikes, many people like myself brought their flight forward ....well it was a torturous way to leave but I was in great company and when that moment came... I finally felt again, that I was doing the right thing! :)

Reclining Budha - Wat Pho
I am such a lucky girl. I am staying with Maureen, who is absolutely lovely. She lives between Bangkok and Switzerland and is busy running her very successful fashion jewellery and accessory business. It is thanks to Maureen, who sent me off to explore on day 1 with one of her staff as guide, that I have had a wonderful time so far! Thanks Maureen and Lisa!
I've been to: the Grand Palace, Wat Pho (Em I had the traditional massage there and just like you said WOW!), Phra Sumen Fortress, had my first Tuk Tuk ride, seen more of my species from afar (backpackers), eaten in street markets... its been amazing!
And guess what... I even have a photo shoot lined up!!! We are still trying to choose between Phuket and Koh Samui for the location, we think it's going to be Koh Samui ! I'm in heaven!
This morning I had a massage, manicure and pedicure all for less than STG 7! Those of you thinking about it, just go get those jabs and book that flight, its that simple.
