Finding Tenant,Giving in Notice to a Great Job, Finding New Place to Live, Start to Pack, continue Planning of Trip & generally trying not to FCUK UP!

Gosh ..It's been a Struggle but the worst is now over, thankfully!
....now it's just about concentrating on the good times ahead & making good friends feel good, how difficult can that be?

Big Smiles all around ...just had the Flu and thankfully the fever seems to have finally burnt itself out. Well, not entirely but I now feel somewhat human again and IT FEELS GOOD!! :)) I gave in my notice (verbally) to my boss on Tuesday morning, signed the tenancy agreement with Andrea that evening. Had to again give in notice on Wednesday morning, this time to my director whom I really admire (!!! Isn't once enough?) and then got the flu on Thursday morning ...Not entirely convenient. I mean
come on... the timing could have been a little bit better, having just shocked the folks back at the office.. ummm well what can I say, c'est la vie!

Just been chatting to Mum on Skype (as one does) and have got in Skype writing that she'll come and visit me in Thailand... heheehee its in writing !!! Yep Mum you've just sold your right to drop any tiniwini negative comment about my wonderful trip of exploration :))))) hehehehe I'm not Maltese for nothing.

Well here I am, feeling a little weak still (if I'm honest) but Im all wrapped up and listening to iTunes with a wonderful background chorus of hammering ..yes 'S' the scary handyman is here fixing the remaining jobs from the refurb so that when Andrea moves in it'll be one swanky pad in one cool neighbourhood... Andrea, per favore, take care of my glass topped gas hob, dont chip the granite work top and most importantly get those stiletto heels off the line of girls who will inevitably visit you as soon as they come through the front door. Believe me boy I know you can do it! :)))

Its a beautiful day in London, gloriously sunny and they say warm outside -another great day for a realllllllly long walk with a good friend - I wish. But today aint my lucky day and I'm housebound, prisoner to my current health, which is flagging somwhat. Yes, life goes on and things evolve maybe for the better maybe for the worse (hope not) but yes ok we can enjoy the journey along the way and with a smile, surely, only good things can happen.

I really AM going away on my trip, OHhh Boy 356 (+) days all for me.......!!!! NO MORE MONDAYS!!! ok don't worry you'll soon get your own back on me when Im down with malaria or lost in a tropical jungle finding out what my true top speed is having come face to face with a tiger!

I have to say (sitting comfortably here in my London flat with central heating, a fridge (with Marks & Spencer food inside) A LAPTOP !!! :( a beautiful fully equipped bathroom, a kitchen) that unfortunately I don't think Ive come across anything more scary than me caught up in last four weeks' whirlwind. Apologies to all (2) who felt the wrath. The good news is the wind has died down though. Its going back to life as it should be.

Right, time to give myself breakfast as it is past lunchtime!

ps: OMYGOD just seen the last task scary handyman has done and believe me for £100/day (trust me that is cheap in London) he really is damn good!!! Yippeee

pps: enjoy the pics whilst you can, not sure if I'll be able to get any loaded whilst on the road.

4.5 WEEKS OF WORK LEFT!
ps just realised I should focus this Blog on London whilst I'm still here. My favourite CITY in the World!!! (Calm down Jonathan aka The Cookie Monster - that's ...besides Paris of course)

14th November 2006 Who would have thought... A Monumental Day!

Eh oui! Today is MY day... I started it by giving in my notice :)))) and finished it by collecting £200 when I passed 'Go'. I have myself a tenant ..a young, half French half Italian chap called Andrea, who seems to like my flat as much as I do ..well enough to want to live here and hopefully more, to take care of and enjoy it :)

Tonight I'm surfing the net for inspiring notice letters but I have a sneaky feeling that I have enough inspiration to get me through regardless.

This is it, my dream is now born - it's alive and kicking and I will have to get packing in earnest! Ahh finally, I can start to smell the adventure. I wish I could take some of you with me and I will in spirit. And for those daring enough, well there's always the option of meeting me somewhere in this beautiful world.

I wonder what picture I can possibly post tonight.. I've never been here, on the brink of my most wanted dream ...I'll have to scan my picture library and look for a possible match that meets tonight's inspiration..... difficult - lets see what I can find... ..wow that was impossible ..couldn't find a picture that matched my mood so I choose one that depicts peace ...Enjoy!
